Religious Education
Dursley C of E Primary Academy is a Church of England Academy and therefore Religious Education is provided in line with the funding agreement and the academy follows the Gloucestershire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education 2017 – 2022.

The 'Principal Aim for RE' is, 'to explore what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can gain the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to handle questions raised by religion and belief, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living.'

When creating learning opportunities in Religious Education, we seek to inspire, enthuse and motivate children to 'dig deeper' into the key questions that concern religions and faith to help them explore what it means for them to be members of the human race, their own personal beliefs and what makes them unique as individuals.
